SK series cone-bottom silos

SK series cone-bottom silos

Cone-bottom silos with a capacity from 4.5 to 2,024 m³, designed for storing grain and niche crops (soybean meal, mustard, malting barley, etc.) on small farms or as operational vessels at elevators; the design includes bolted joints with conical washers and polymer seals that prevent moisture ingress, and is adapted to various climatic loads.

Model

SK series cone-bottom silos

Advantages

  • Suitable for all regions

The silo design is adapted to all types of wind, snow and seismic loads

  • Use of high-quality steel

Manufactured to European standards, with a zinc coating of no less than 350 g/m²

  • The silo parts are supplied in factory packaging

In strict sequence and completeness for proper assembly

  • The trestle rests directly on the silo body and roof

so no additional supports are needed

  • The silos are manufactured on high-precision robotic equipment

Using a robotic stiffener-rib bending machine, a robotic panel-forming line and a laser metal-cutting complex, the parts fit together perfectly. The laser also marks each part, which makes silo assembly easier

Used for storing product on small farms or as operational vessels at an elevator. All bolted joints of the silo are fitted with special conical washers and sealing polymer gaskets that prevent moisture from entering along the threaded connections. Cone-bottom silos are used for storing easily caking products and niche crops: soybean meal, mustard, malting barley and others.

The standard configuration of the cone-bottom silos includes:
  • A ladder to the top of the roof with safety guards
  • A ladder on the silo body
  • Service hatches
  • A rest platform
  • A thermometry system
  • An active ventilation system
  • An over-silo trestle (optional)

Large cone-bottom silos are equipped with a powerful galvanized steel support structure capable of withstanding up to 2,000 tonnes of product

These models can also be used for poorly flowing products and be equipped with special forced-discharge systems (multi-augers, vibrating bottoms, pneumatic-shaking systems). The silos can also be fitted with ventilation and temperature-monitoring systems

The walls and vertical stiffeners are made of high-strength steel grades using modern metalworking technologies on fully automated machines, by forced drawing and rolling, which frees the product from kinks and guarantees precise execution of the process holes (tolerance no more than 0.003 mm)

Small silos are available with a volume from 20 m³ to 250 m³, whose bottom is set at angles of 45°, 60° and 66°. Such vessels are used both for operational and for long-term storage of product.

They can be used at plant-grain processing enterprises, mills, oil mills and feed-production enterprises.

They can be fitted with ventilation and temperature-monitoring systems.

Dispatch silos are designed for accumulating product (grain, plant-raw-material processing products, plant-raw-material processing waste, aspiration waste, etc.) with subsequent gravity loading of road and rail transport. The vessels can range from 4.5 to 1,000 tonnes, with different cone-bottom angles (45°, 60° and 66°). Dispatch silos are installed on powerful steel structures to allow transport to pass safely beneath them

The steel structures are made with fire safety in mind (complete with ladders, service platforms, etc.); optionally, dispatch silos can be equipped with additional units and auxiliary devices for filling railway wagons and road vehicles (telescopic loaders, multi-augers, shaking systems)

The cone bottom comes in a version for free-flowing products — 45°, and for wet or poorly flowing products — 60°, 66°
