KOBLiK GROUP presented a new chaser bin with a minimally damaging auger

KOBLiK GROUP has developed a new model of the TL 140 chaser bin, presenting it at the Agrosalon international agricultural machinery exhibition on 8 October 2024.

According to Igor Gudulin, head of KOBLiK's trailed machinery division, the main advantage of the TL 140 is its single auger, which significantly reduces grain damage during unloading. The number of axles has also been reduced (to one) and the wheel size increased (they do not over-compact the soil, which No-Till farmers will surely appreciate). The working volume of the hopper is 40 m³, or 31 tonnes of load.

- A very important point is the shape of the hopper. It is cone-shaped, so the grain flows freely down to the auger, - Igor Gudulin said. - We moved away from the classic model by removing the horizontal auger that previously fed grain to the second, discharge auger. Thanks to this, grain damage has decreased significantly. This is especially important for soybean and corn producers, for whom whole, unbroken grain matters.

There is also a weighing system with a monitor and printer that controls the weight of the loaded grain online, recording the time and place of loading. It has two functions — monitoring the transported weight and giving the farmer an overall picture of the harvest. The computer records the loading from each combine into each bin and, at the end of the shift, produces a detailed summary sent by email. This way, a combine operator's pay can be tied not to hectares or working hours, but to the weight of the grain they have threshed.

- The TL 140 can be used in a wide variety of operations, increasing the productivity of production processes by about a third and reducing fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, - Igor Gudulin said. - I would also note the machine's outstanding multifunctionality, which allows it to be used in various operations (for example, harvesting, sowing, fertiliser application, and grain transfer and discharge at the threshing floor).

Attention should also be paid to the auger's position on the left side, next to the tractor cab. It unfolds straight out to the side, effectively level with the tractor cab.

- This significantly simplifies the operator's work, - Igor Gudulin is confident. - Now they don't have to keep turning around to watch the unloading process; it's enough to just turn their head slightly or use the side mirrors. No other semi-trailer offers such convenience for the operator.

As a reminder, KOBLiK chaser bins are designed to collect grain from combines working in the field without stopping them, with subsequent transport and unloading into other vehicles. They are ideal for three-link harvesting, when one trailer works with 3 combines that do not stop working during grain unloading. In this case the harvesting speed increases by 30%.
