KOBLiK GROUP laid the first stone of a new plant in Smolensk

On 29 August 2024, a ceremonial laying of the first stone in the foundation of the new KOBLiK GROUP plant took place in Smolensk. The ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Smolensk Region, Vasily Anokhin, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group of companies, Egor Koblik, and representatives of the regional authorities.

The new plant, with a total area of 11,500 sq m, will be located in the Phoenix industrial park. It will specialise in producing trailed agricultural machinery, including livestock machinery in demand at cattle feeding and housing complexes. Its commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. According to the plan, the company will invest upwards of RUB 750 million, creating at least 130 jobs by the time the new facility is launched.

According to the Governor of the Smolensk Region, Vasily Anokhin, the launch of the plant addresses an important import-substitution task.

- The new enterprise will cover farmers' need for high-quality, modern, domestically produced machinery. We are providing the investor with the necessary support in guiding the project so as to launch the plant as early as 2025, - he noted in his Telegram channel.

The importance of this task is also recognised at KOBLiK. According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group of companies, Egor Koblik, the plant under construction will complete the formation of a domestic range of trailed machinery needed by agricultural producers.

- Taking into account our trailed-machinery production facilities in Voronezh and Minsk, the launch of the plant in Smolensk will make it possible to fully cover the needs of Russian farmers and those of neighbouring countries, - he promised.
