Opening of the new KOBLiK GROUP production site in Smolensk

The project was implemented with a total investment of RUB 900 million. Of this, RUB 180 million was provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund, and another RUB 20 million by the Smolensk Industrial Development Fund. The concessional financing was allocated under the joint federal-regional "Development Projects" programme and used to purchase high-tech equipment to fit out the new plant.

The event took the form of a dynamic industrial tour led by KOBLiK GROUP representatives — Egor Koblik, Dmitry Sinyukov and Roman Karpenko. The route was arranged as a step-by-step introduction to the logic of production.

On the open area in front of the plant entrance, Egor Koblik presented the range of trailed machinery that will be produced at the new enterprise.   Guests then passed through the metal warehouse and production areas, where the plant's structure, its construction stages, the equipment used and the principles of process organisation were discussed in detail. Particular attention was paid to the metalworking and welding areas and the prospects for introducing welding robots, as well as the paint booths and the assembly zone.

A separate emphasis during the tour was placed on in-house component manufacturing and the course towards import substitution — as a factor that should, in the long term, ensure supply stability and quality control.

The culmination of the event was the presentation of the first unit of machinery produced at the new plant. In the ceremonial part, Egor Koblik and the Governor of the Smolensk Region, Vasily Anokhin, unveiled the first trailer, symbolically marking the project's transition from construction to serial production. In their speeches, the speakers outlined the project's journey — from strategic decisions made on federal platforms to the launch of real production — and shared plans for further capacity expansion in the Smolensk Region.
"Thanks to the loan from the Industrial Development Fund, we managed to re-equip the new Smolensk production complex with the necessary equipment in the shortest possible time and expand the model range of the machinery produced. Thanks to its mobility, our trailed machinery for feeding and housing cattle makes it possible to build logistics efficiently within farms, reducing downtime and increasing the return on investment," noted Anna Mantrova, General Director of Koblik Group Management Company LLC.

After reaching its design capacity, the enterprise plans to produce up to 300 units of cattle feeding and housing machinery annually and to take about 23% of the corresponding segment of the domestic market.

The programme concluded with a press briefing and informal communication between KOBLiK GROUP representatives and guests.
The launch of the new production site was a practical confirmation of the holding's previously announced plans to expand capacity and develop domestic engineering for the agricultural sector. Of course, the contribution to the market and the regional economy will be determined by the pace of reaching design capacity and further investment in technology and people, but even now the enterprise is regarded as a significant element of the region's industrial infrastructure and a long-term asset of KOBLiK GROUP.
